Nr. 12-2023 ⭐️⭐️⭐️,5/5 🌶️,5/5 “Roses are red, violets are blue, watch out beastie, I’m going to kill you.” Book 1/2 Dark romance Serial killer romance MFM romance Captor x captive Slow burn Revenge plot Pierced and tattooed 🍆 Virgin FMC Dirty talk It pains me so much #this but I was STRUGGLING. These authors are among my all time favorites and so far there hasn’t been a book that I wasn’t totally obsessed with. I will say I have hope for book 2 because this got better towards the end. Brooklyn is an innocent but unhinged and crazy girl who is kidnapped and placed in the death games. Only one person can be the winner, the rest dies. She wins, and Niall, who we know from KOQ, is at the club and sees her victory. He is instantly obsessed with her and buys her, puts her in his basement where he also keeps Mateo. Mateo is a fixer for a Mexican cartel and Niall is trying to torture information out of him, but so far, no luck there. Brooklyn melts both their black and murderous hearts while being totally unhinged herself. Let’s get it out of the way: there was an endless stream of inner monologue in this book from all POV’s, and it made the story seem slow, the jokes went passed me at some point and I found myself distracted. I know these characters are crazy but WHY the non stop wordvomit?! It drove me a little crazy. I loved the characters. Brooklyn had to grow on me but she captured my heart with her innocence and kindness while being extremely violent. Niall stole my heart in KOQ and he hasn’t let it go. Also super violent, funny and unhinged. He’s a lucky Irish bastard with a fuck-around-and-find-out attitude. Mateo may or may not be my favorite so far. He’s the silent, cunning kind. I was very surprised by this series! I know there are some skeptical reviews about it and was kinda cautious going into it, but for some reason I cannot stop devouring it! I am on book 4 now and am really attached to our characters I love Darcy and the reason she has blue hair is just 🥲🥲 Tory is so spunky and everything I am not, so it’s so easy to get caught up in her point of view! Orion has so much attitude, but I LOVE when his protective side comes out 😉 Caleb is so sweet and funny, he seems so genuine. Not to mention 🥵 Don’t even get me startedddd on Darius. I absolutely love reading his point of views and I gotta say, I find myself constantly rooting for him… All in all I am so glad I gave this series a shot, and can’t wait to read what is next. Think about your current book obsession…now tell me why you’re obsessed with it. My current obsession is Zodiac Academy. When I’ve posted about this series on TikTok, there are always people who love to jump on and tell me they thought it was cringey or ridiculous. And honestly, the things that they think are cringey are probably what I love most. Yes, some of it is ridiculous and twisted…but I LOVE it. I have never burst out laughing so often while reading than when I’m reading this series. And isn’t that what books are supposed to be? Entertainment? An escape from real life? I think the magic system and world are brilliant (the order forms, the way they replenish magic, the way the zodiac plays a part). I love the humor and when I’m in the middle of one of these books, all I can think about is the next time I’ll get a chance to read more. There are so many characters and relationships to fall in love with. It’s written by two sisters who have the same twisted sense of humor as I do with my sisters and I’m here for it. The FAEbook posts, the practical jokes, the steamy scenes, Geraldine’s crazy insults, Seth’s and Leon’s ludicrous behavior…let me have it. . Also…why do people think it’s okay to comment “I hated that” on someone’s video or post saying they liked a book? Dude. I don’t care what you think…I still love it. ZODIAC ACADEMY: SORROW & STARLIGHT . . . ⭐️ 8th book in series ⭐️ twist ending ⭐️ long AF (1000+ pg) book ⭐️ romance + fantasy . . . Well……I’m not really sure where to begin with this one. This is the 8th book in the ZA series (which i LOVE and ADORE) — and in my opinion, this one fell flat 😵💫 This book was split into two (originally supposed to be the final) — and I do not think it needed to. A lot of this book was fluff, unneeded POV’s from random characters (some I had to look up to remember) and didn’t have any solid addition to the plot until the last 15% (which, of a 1200 page book, is deep into it.) The best part of this book was the continued Darcy-Orion love story. Tory got done real bad, and the Heirs didn’t get a ton of attention to have any character development. I also didn’t love where the twist at the end went. It seemed utterly random, unneeded, and super stray away from the original plot. It honestly made me really mad when I finished 💀 I do truly love this series, and am *hopeful* for book 9 and that they wrap up this story well. But, sadly, book 8 was a HUGE miss for me. . . . If you’ve read this — i’d love to know your thoughts!

This series is my no means a short journey, but it is definitely worth it. I was going to do #selfiesaturday yesterday I figured I should introduce myself on this account, but life got in the way so we're doing it today. I have been an avid reader, since new moon in 08, I remember running into the movie theatre for the first Film im my Team Jacob Shirt. I absolutely adored twilight, and all the movies and books, but what I loved more was the community, i like how it moved from forums to book blogging and twitter, and I am so happy I found #bookstagram last February! Well im disapointed I am starting my Account over again, I am so glad to be here. I read at least 2 books a week but its more like 5. I listen to mostly Audio books. Always have a AirPod in, I listen at 2.8x. I am a stay at home mom to three young kids. I read mostly Romance and Paranormal romance. BUT, I love fantasy but with Romance in it. My favourite series are All Souls trilogy! We Ninth House by Leigh Bardgo, Zodiac Acadmey, Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr, The Night-huntress World by Jeanne Frost, Ill read anything Kelley Armstrong writes I have since I was a teenager. I Adore women of the Otherworld (Lucas was my first love) But I think Cainsville is 100 times Better. BOOK REVIEW 1-8! ZODIAC ACADEMY I am doing a review for books 1-8 because it’s way easier. This series as a whole has been a WILD ride. I have laughed my ass off, cried from heartbreak, cried tears of joy, fallen in love with characters, gotten hot from the spice. Book 8 was a bit slow but ended well. If you are looking for a series that deals with the stars, magic, zodiacs, all sorts of creatures, fighting, romance, elements magic, etc this series is 100% for you! I cannot wait to see what the final book brings to close out this series!
