The hype about the restaurant was on another level 😂, I couldn’t wait for the dinner. She had mentioned since the beginning of January to take off my crochet because of her birthday. Coming home from my first 𝑷𝒂𝒊𝒅 vacation. Being rewarded for simply helping others is an amazing feeling. As hard as I cried, worried about leaving home, leaving the kids and closing my business, I'm 𝐒𝐎 glad I did. Before I joined this business, I didn't understand those in the business with the constant pictures of themselves. I 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐢𝐭 now. We not only work on our physical health, but the road to this point is deeper than looks. Myself and others work on our personal development constantly. I've worked hard to deal with my demons. To grow and learn on how to deal with life's troubles in a healthy way. I'm learning how to help others achieve the same. When you work on your mental health, it reflects on the outside. And that I'm 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝 of. I would have never wore the outfits I did this weekend without the work I've done. My insecurities were deeper than my outside appearance alone. I never thought I deserved to feel good about how I look. I would feel guilty for trying to look nice..it didn't make sense. So far, the only side effects I’m feeling are drowsiness, slight queasiness, mild headache, dry mouth and eye sockets (weird), and, unfortunately, neuropathy in my hands and feet. 🫳🏻🪡 Praying I will get some decent sleep and praying I handle the chemo pills just as well! 🙏🏼 God was with me every minute and I felt His present and all your prayers. It was a fantastic evening and when I was asked to donate some goodies for the bake sale, I couldn’t have said yes fast enough!! My point is, I don’t believe it’s just coincidence, I believe it’s a reminder from our Heavenly Father as to why giving is so meaningful to Him. There is a message behind it. It never occurred to me that while donating something I love to do, would come back to me. WACCC stopped by my house couple weeks ago with a chemo bag full of goods to help me through and I’m seriously overwhelmed with joy. It should be offered as a gift and always done with lots of love📚 Personal post- Reading books has always been one of my favorite things to do and seeing Sammy excited over books makes me so damn happy! Growing up as a first generation Mexican-American, I had a different childhood compared to how Samuel is growing up. My parents gave me the best life they could. They taught my sisters and I how to be humble, work hard, earn money and treat others with respect. We had our ups and our lows-that caused my older sister and i to grow up fast. One thing I never got to experience as a little girl, was having my parents read to me since they couldn’t read English. And, that’s okay because they gave us real life experiences and that gave me wisdom, struggles and adversities. As a young adult, I now understand why my parents were the way that they were because they didn’t have anyone to teach them how to love their kids, how to be a parent or someone to give them advice. I finally took the time today to slow down with life and enjoy the moment. Reading to Sammy this evening and seeing Dominic read to him, really hit me. As a parent, you only want the best for your kid. I always tell Dominic that. I want us to do the best we can while we can and I mean it in the most humbling way. I give each day my all. The best version of me as a parent and as a partner. Some days are rough. Slowly I am healing my inner child trauma. I am one step closer now.
