〰️ YEONDON BALL KATSU 〰️
Most of us have eaten katsu before, but have you tried katsu in the form of a ball. Yeondon Ball Katsu is an international chain that offers a popular Korean dish, the ball katsu - fried pork or chicken rolled up in a ball. Previously located downtown, now moved to North York.
With a fairly small menu, the ball katsu can be ordered on its own, as a slider or with rice. We had the ball katsu curry rice, which included a bowl of rice with curry, topped with 1 katsu ball. The katsu ball itself was good, grounded pork with a crispy exterior. The ball was a bit dry on its own but great when eaten with the curry. The curry was surprisingly yummy as well, but very small portion size for the price. We also had the tartar ball katsu slider, which was pretty much a katsu ball with coleslaw in the middle. The dish was decent, personally enjoyed drenching it with Tabasco - but again fairly expensive for the serving size.
