[Original Post 2021.02.23] My first time at @sumiliciousdeli in Scarborough ! Serves Montreal smoked meat! I ordered smoked meat sandwich $11.45 + tax & smoked meat poutine $10.50 + tax (see my previous post for more details) + black cherry flavoured soda (don’t remember price). I think this smoked meat tastes the same as Montreal stores like Schwartz like other reviews said, and the benefit is not having to drive up to Montreal to eat this. The meat was nice tender juicy, not dry, and well flavoured. I like the brisket and especially the more fatty areas of it. I’m not a big fan of the bread itself and I threw much of it away, mainly eating just meat. It was very enjoyable and I’ll come back. [Original Post 2021.06.27] My first time trying sumilicious @sumiliciousdeli in Scarborough. (See my other post for smoked meat sandwich here). This is the smoked meat poutine for $10.50 + tax. I think it’s just as good as some of the poutine stores in Montreal actually, but maybe not the best. The smoked meat flavour was great, and everything is good together, but I think they could have added a bit more cheese curds (not a big fan of cheese curds but I think there needs to be more in a poutine), and fries could be a bit crispier. I ate this right outside store in car, so nice and hot. Last time I was here, everyone had to line up just to order and it was way less comfortable sitting down! SMOKED MEAT X POUTINE @restolabanquise Still didn’t have enough Smoked Meat after having a first lunch @schwartzsofficial so we decided to get our Poutine topped with more Smoked Meat (L’Obelix $11.5). Yep we were stuffed and still couldn’t finish this generous portion for a regular sized poutine - luckily we didn’t order the large! Definitely an awesome spot for poutine - so glad I got to visit again 8 years later 😍!
