Nie chcieliśmy iść w kolejne koszty, szukać wątpliwej jakości fachowców, nie mieliśmy tez na to zwyczajnie już siły i ochoty po budowie. Opcją było posadzenie czegoś, ale co wyrośnie na piasku z minimalna ilością ziemi? Trawa, jasne, ale ona niezbyt będzie trzymac skarpę, jeśli dojdzie do ulewnych deszczy. Poza tym jak to kosić? Z pomocą przyszła nam lokalna przyroda. Rosa rugosa - może oryginalnie nierodzimy gatunek, za to z powodzeniem rośnie na wydmach od lat. Jesli wiec tam daje radę, to dlaczego nie tutaj? Za jakiś czas jej korzenie wzmocnią naszą skarpę. Do tego do wykorzystania pozostaną jej pachnące płatki lub aromatyczne owoce. Samo dobre! Aż wstyd się przyznać, ale na pomysł wpadliśmy w zeszłym roku na jesieni. Sadzonki róży pomarszczonej przyszły do nas w listopadzie z gołym korzeniem, a my… nie zdążyliśmy ich wsadzić. Przeczekały przysypane ziemią 3 miesiące. Wsadziliśmy je w lutym - widać gole patyki na tle elewacji. Ale wiecie co? Te patyki wypuszczają liście 🤓🌱 A Wy? All the baseboards are installed now and most of the doors were hung in the LVP areas as we await carpet install. The trim carpenter also completed the closet systems with the rods. The electrician came back out to install most of the outlets and switches as well as the can lights. Our front doors were delivered and ready for stain. Countertops will be installed on Wednesday!!! 🌲 Bring on the wood! Lumber prices have swung a lot in the last two years. We waited and watched and from first bid to lock down we were able to drop 50k of lumber expense just because we waited some. Tip- apparently it is common for you to see the basement floor poured and swear it isn’t the right size! 🤣 The floor was poured and we sat there thinking “it looks too small.” After measuring to confirm it was in fact correct we learned it is a common reaction.
