“I can’t do a shoot right now, because…” . I’ve heard it all. And you know what? I’ve thought them all myself. But do I regret having photos taken of me and my son? Never. Do I regret not taking the photos? All the time!! . This little one had broken her arm, and we decided to shoot anyway. With some careful posing, the cast is hidden in almost all of the photos, but it also doesn’t ruin the others. It’s a snapshot in time. This beautifully blossomed King Protea photo was captured during a Soup & Wine festival here in the Cape Winelands. It is almost as if you can you feel the soft afternoon breeze moving over the Paarl mountains while peacefully sipping on an exquisite glass of local wine. The deep muted dark greens with bright pink petals and the striking yet soft white centre, that is accentuated by the setting sunlight coming in from the right. Chasing Sunsets🌅🌻 . As we draw to the end of March, winter draws closer and closer with each day. The sun sets earlier, the sun risers later, the days are shorter, colder and yet filled with as much as they were before. I always look at seasons and question their changes. Why must we endure the cold? Say goodbye to all the magical moments we had during summer? And how come our lifestyles must change as we embrace the cold and shorter days🌃 I guess seasons and the transitioning between them is very much a fundamental part of life, not only is the natural world forced to succumb to these inevitable changes, but our inner world must also succumb to inevitable change. As the seasons change throughout the year I am reminded of the changes that I too undergo in a year, the person I am today is completely different to the one who started this year, he is wiser, happier, calmer and stronger☘️ As we head into winter and embrace slower days, take this time to reflect. THE BEST NEIGHBOURHOODS IN CAPE TOWN Spending almost 2 months travelling all around South Africa, I would like to share the best places in Cape Town to stay in if you plan to visit this amazing city and get some African vibes 😊 📌 Save the post😉 🏝 Camps Bay is a neighborhood situated right on the ocean and is famous for its beautiful beaches, restaurants and breathtaking views to the Lion’s head. Famous Table mountain is also just 10 min driving. There are plenty of opportunities for sports and an active lifestyle. If you're looking for the perfect place to relax on the beach, Camps Bay is an excellent choice! 🌆 Green Point is known as one of the trendiest neighborhoods in Cape Town. There are many cafes, restaurants, and shops, as well as a beautiful park where you can spend time outdoors. For me it’s too touristy area, but someone might like it😉 🌅 Sea Point is a neighborhood located along the promenade and is famous for its picturesque views of the ocean and sunset. There are many cafes and restaurants, as well as plenty of opportunities for sports and an active lifestyle. If you love spending time outdoors and enjoying beautiful views, Sea Point is an excellent choice! 🏄🏾‍♂️ Muizenberg is a neighborhood located on the southern coast of Cape Town and is famous for its great waves, which attract surfers from all over the world. There is also small, but very cozy national park as well. For me it’s the best place to stay, because you have a bit of everything: good waves, surf village vibes, good choice of restaurants and bars, beautiful nature and still you are just 30 min driving from the city. Or you can drive to an amazing Cape of Good Hope national park which is also very close. If you love surfing and want to try your hand at catching some waves, Muizenberg is the best place for you!
