Merry Christmas from the Loertscher boys!! (This was the least motion blurred picture I got 😂) I really love Christmas - it’s a great time to remember Jesus and how He came to earth - in a humble stable. Having had 3 babies (I use the word “had” lightly, it was really Andrea), I can’t imagine how Mary and Joseph felt in those circumstances! “Really? The Messiah? This is where he is going to be born?” And yet the setting was symbolic of His role for us. He was the lamb of God - wrapped in swaddling clothes that were used by shepherd for their sacrificial lambs. He was to be the ultimate sacrifice - God be thanked that He came to earth! Andrea never ceases to amaze me. Even after a hard week of constant sacrifice for her kids, she just keeps going. “Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Why is Easter so important? Because Jesus Christ was resurrected, we all will be resurrected. We will all live again. Every bit of darkness will eventually give way to the light. Every hurt relationship can be healed. Every broken person can be reborn and recreated in Christ Every weakness can become a strength. Every injustice will be made right. It is all #becauseofhim! It’s been a great birthday - thanks for all the well wishes! I’d have to say the best birthday gift I have is my sweet wife, Andrea. She’s seriously a rockstar mom, taking care of the kids all day long. I don’t know how she does it! It’s a hard, hard job. I feel like a rich man indeed.

Me and Winston, a week after he was born. These little people just bring such a special spirit with them. I am in awe of the light of Christ they emanate, and peace they bring with them to earth. He trusted me enough for me to be his father! He makes me want to trust in my Father in Heaven more. Love this little guy!!

This is Wally and Anderson- they both got hair cuts today! On the way there, Anderson asked “are we going to see Barber Mark?” (our old barber in Maysville). I told him “no, but we’re going to see some nice ladies at Great Clips”. He thoughtfully said, “Oh”. When we got there, he immediately asked one of the hair stylists “what’s your name?” She smiled and told us. So we met Ashley and Shelby today. They felt so special and tickled that he wanted to know! Anderson reminded me that there’s no such thing as “ordinary people” , but that we all have divine origin and potential. To him, they weren’t just hair stylists, they were his new friends Ashley and Shelby. “It is a serious thing to live in a society of possible gods and goddesses, to remember that the dullest most uninteresting person you can talk to may one day be a creature which,if you saw it now, you would be strongly tempted to worship… You have never talked to a mere mortal… it is immortals whom we joke with, work with, marry, snub, and exploit” -CS Lewis On a lighter note, they also had a tv playing with a food commercial on it. Wally told me, “I like food. Food’s my favorite” Me too, Wally, me too!!

Hey all! I’m back on social media - I promise it’s me (which is, of course, something a hacker would say haha). A little over a year ago, I deleted my Facebook account. I’ve been off social media for the entire time - it’s been a great experience! But I have missed sharing my life and interacting with friends who matter to me. I’ve also felt a nudge from God that I ought to share more of my life, and not keep my candle under a bushel. So I’m back on here! And I want to share my life experiences, thoughts, and impressions with you. Thanks for being my friend! I hope what I share is valuable to you on your own journey through life. It’s a hard journey, but the Lord has a way of giving us tender moments that pull us through. Most recently, our youngest (Winston) discovered his tongue 😛 He’s a bright light to our family!
