I stopped by @postocalgary for @yycpizzafest and they never disappoint 🩷. The feature pizza is a lamb pizza, while it was gamey I thought the oregano did a great job at masking some of it. $3 is donated to Calgary Meals on Wheels so can you say no to a good cause? They have this pizza until Oct 1 so give it a try if you haven’t already!
Pro tip: Go during happy hour and you can get the lamb pizza for $18, all other pizzas are $15 🤩 (Happy Hour everyday 3-6pm, all day Sundays).

I absolutely LOVED @lucayyc . Their calamari was very different than your usual, the squid was so tender and thick. This was the first time I had brussel sprout salad and it was SO GOOD. The maple truffle vinaigrette paired perfectly with the brussels. Their zero proof drinks were also good, I loved the glass straws. The lobster risotto was expensive but definitely worth it. The portion is HUGE. Lastly, the bavarese was a fun dessert to eat since it had so many different textures 🤩. @vintagegroupyyc did an amazing job with this restaurant, but I also love @chairmansyyc from them so I shouldn’t be surprised.

I was surprised at how small @toribaryyc was when I walked in. It was very cozy and we sat bar side. My fav items were the chicken thigh with skin on it and the sous vide egg. The skin was very crispy and the egg was seasoned well. Besides that I found the other items mid.

@orabreadwine is a new breakfast/brunch spot downtown serving freshly baked bread 🤩. We were served herb focaccia and Hokkaido milk buns to start. The star of the meal was their lamb benny 🤤. The lamb was so tender and flavoured well, the sides were also delicious. The cauliflower had a curry seasoning which they topped with raisins. I liked that the raisin brought a sweetness to the dish. They also have pastries and we tried the basque egg tart which was SO GOOD. I had to wait a few hours since I was so full, but it was still amazing.

It’s such a great deal, for $11.99 you can get 4 different flavours and don’t forget the unlimited toppings 🤤. I have a new favourite (next to their durian) which is their black sesame ice cream! The seeds are perfectly roasted and you can taste it omg 🤤.
They also have plant based ice cream as well for all our non-dairy friends 😌. Their newest location is located in Kensington and the flights are also available at Bowness and the Barlow Trail NE locations. Their other locations include:

Is it even a trip to France if you don’t have croissants?? LOL @leclairdegenieofficiel croissants were HUGE and the cafe was so cute. I got a regular croissant which was good, but kind of expensive. I think it would be a better to get one of the flavoured ones since they are filled so if I get the chance I’ll try that next 😊.

We stumbled across @hanoicapherestaurant and they had a nice assortment of choices. Their traditional Vietnamese food wasn’t very memorable, but their Pad Thai was delicious! The noodles were perfectly cooked and the sauce was amazing. I’d go back for this dish and the vibes 🤗.

It’s been a while I had frog legs and I’ve gotta say I wasn’t the biggest fan. Not because of how it tasted, but more so I couldn’t get over the fact it looked like a leg and I felt weird eating it HAHAHA. Besides that the meat was really soft. We also got a HUGE plate of escargot because we were at @escargot_montorgueil and needed to try all the flavours. My favs were the traditional and truffle 🤤. I’ve also been pleasantly surprised since I have a bad stomach which hurts when I eat very heavy food, but it didn’t hurt when I had all this buttery goodness in Europe 😱. Their food game is just on a different level.

High tea at @le_dali_restaurant was another experience 😍. The restaurant is so beautiful, I wish I took more pictures. I love that they gave us a timer allowing us to perfectly steep our tea. I tried the Rose-Raspberry white tea and it was light and fruity. The scones were amazing, we couldn’t finish it all. The desserts were also beautiful! The cherries and peaches had mousse and a house made jam it in 🤤. They also had live entertainment that started in the middle of our tea time which was just delightful ☺️. Nothing beats tea, sweets and live music!

Had brunch at the famous @angelina_paris and we got so lucky since we only waited for 5 minutes 🤣. It’s usually 30+ minute wait so the day was going well already. I didn’t find anything special with the savoury items we ordered, but the tea and desserts we ordered to go were divine 🤩.

@restaurantletrainbleu is such a beautiful restaurant! Their food presentation was also amazing. It just tastes better to eat aesthetic food ☺️. My fav dish was most definitely their rabbit! I’m not huge on gamey meats but this dish was so delectable! The cream sauce had a hint of mustard and the rice that accompanied the dish was mixed with another item to give it a crunchy texture.
