Greasy cabinets BE GONE!! 🪄 This is the only method that worked for me during the grueling process of cleaning 🧼 these cabinets and degreasing them! I firmly believe they were never cleaned in their lifetime haha! Lucky to have been the chosen one to bring them back to life. It wasn’t easy but we made them look brand new again. If you guys remember these were the used cabinets we purchased and hauled all the way from Indiana! The cabinets were in good shape but the pictures didn’t warn us for the amount of grease these would come with 🫣😩… Not going to lie friends there were times in this process that I wanted to throw in the towel of defeat.. but months later (7 months to be exact) I finally got over this traumatic event and can share the process with you guys!!! If you ever find yourself in a similar situation.. follow these steps below.. tried and tested by yours truly: Step 1: spray with @zepusa degreaser Step 2: Spray with @googonebrand Step 3: Let this soak for 15 minutes ⏰ Step 4: Use your spatula to remove grease one stroke at a time.. WE FINALLY HAVE A FENCE!🎉 Celebrating all the small wins along the way.🙏🏼Super thankful to the team that knocked this out so quickly… Tony is truly the best and never disappoints.. We installed 2” square posts in concrete footings vs on a plate with anchors.. Although going with a plate application with anchors is more cost effective, it’s not a great long term solution. This will over time loosen and have to be replaced… it’s also not the best looking clean option 🫤. Our posts were primed and painted to prevent rust. After the posts were in , horizontal pressure treated pine wood pickets were anchored. This option is great when you will be painting the wood, once we paint that will add another level of protection to shield from our Chicago harsh weather. Buenos Dios Amigos! I have had a couple of conversations lately in where people say that we make things look easy like its all buttercups and rainbows. 🌈 And although its a complete compliment and im humbled by those comments…. It honestly felt inaccurate on how we have been feeling. So I felt it necessary to come on here and tell you that its HARD! Although we love what we do and wouldn’t have it any other way… as it is a true labor of love ❤️. We have faced obstacle after obstacle…. After obstacle!!! I try to be as transparent as possible on here but yet don’t want be a downer! I feel like social media can be so curated to the point where you only show the good and the “perfect” and with that we loose the rawness and realness of what is an authentic life!! I hope to not continue perpetuating the perfectness syndrome, because the whole point of this page was so show the realness behind our story and have you come along the highs and inevitable lows… We thank you for joining our journey and rallying behind us as we push to finish these passion projects. The LUXE office parking lot is coming along beautifully!!! We have created a step by step on how you can achieve this look for the low 💲! 1. First we cleaned the parking lot and powered washed the entire area. 2. We then (when I say we I really mean the team lol 😆) added Quikrete asphalt high performance blacktop repair, in all the uneven areas to make the surface uniform and leveled. @quikreteconcrete 3. After we had the asphalt for the larger areas, we used @crafco “Fix a Fill” which is a hot applied asphalt crack sealant. This has to be kept warm and is poured hot. Once poured you will have to use a spatula to flatten and help infill all cracks. We did this for the entire parking lot… So patience is key here friends! 🙏🏼 Finally we purchased a couple gallons of Seal Best 8x Acrylic polymer which seals and fills. Couple of perks outlined below: Beautifies & Protects Asphalt Driveways • Dries to a Deep, Rich Black Color • Fortified with Sand for Traction & Durability • Superior Protection from Salt & Chemicals We Hope you find this helpful and feel inspired to take on your own driveway or parking lot DIY! What a DREAM come true this has been! 🙏🏼 Always dreamed about fully furnishing our calabazita… Although I never thought we would do it in less than 4 days notice haha But overall super proud of us for knocking this one out of the park! Teamwork makes the dream work and I truly have the best humans in my corner.🙏🏼 Little Linda would be soo proud, 🥹 I grew up watching HGTV dreaming of one day having a place of my own to design and let my creative shine. And the day is HERE and it’s my real life… WOW pinch me moment I was a bit hard on myself because I couldn’t find the exact pieces I would have originally selected if I had, had more time to put a whole apartment together… However I’m giving myself grace and taking a step back to be proud of this accomplishment… cause perfection is a construct we create in our head Cheers to achieving our dreams and uplifting one another! Ps. We handed off the keys yesterday and the reaction on our tenants face was sooo worth it! The little girl saw her bedroom and said it was the bedroom of her dreams!!!
