Our set of YOUNG ROCK has become quite the emotional place for all of us 🥺🥺🙏🏾
Our anchor ⚓️❤️ of Young Rock is this amazing and beautiful little soul @adriangroulx
— who plays ME (little Dewey) when I was 10yrs old.
Adrian started to cry after we met for the first time here on set.
I stopped shooting to come back here to check on him.
As I was encouraging Adrian here, it became this emotional moment because I felt like I was going back in time to encourage my 10yr old self too.
Felt best to say what’s on my heart - and that was “I’m very proud of you. You’ve done a great job”.
I also got emotional (dammit;) last week when I meet the man who plays my real dad on the show @officialjosephleeanderson
My dad, Rocky Johnson passed away suddenly on January 15th, 2020 - so I never got the chance to say goodbye to him.
Imagine if your mom or dad or loved one passed away and then you meet the actor who’s job it is to become your mom, your dad or lost loved one.
Pretty wild stuff right!?!? 🤯
It’s like talking to them and hugging your lost loved one all over again.
It’s like you get one more chance to say hello.
After all these emotions I need a drink 🥺🥃😂
To the cast of YOUNG ROCK,
I love you and THANK YOU.
