I'm so excited to share that I've recently accepted a new role within HOKA! I'll be moving on from my Northern California FER position to Associate Manager - Events in Sports Marketing!
My time as an FER has been both memorable and career shaping for me. I've met so many incredible humans through the weekly run crew demos, to folks that have traveled across the world to run races like Western States and Canyons 100k. I can't wait to write this next chapter of my life with the HOKA SPOMA team!
See you at a HOKA event near you soon.π

She is Beautiful is a 5k/10k all women's race in Santa Barbara (and Santa Cruz!) where women are celebrated with every step! We love sponsorsing this race for everything that it is and especially love working with the RFs, Sara and Melissa!

I've been dying to try this trend for the past couple weeks and couldn't wait when we got home.. but I think Robie has been eating too many treats at mom and dads house...
UTMB in 48 Hours - had the most incredible time witnessing all things UTMB for the first time in person. Since 2015, I discovered what this magical race was after watching a @billyyang production highlighting @timtollefson , @davidlaney12 , and @zachmiller38 racing CCC. This little 20-minute film was one of the many moments that lead me to the trail runner and fan that I am today.
Ever since, I've viewed from a far and this past Friday at 6PM I witnessed elites and friends take off from the startline and YES I totally cried. We witnessed the start and the incredible HOKA light tunnel. Then joined @tonywithasony and @sammycreath to follow Courtney along, starting with an epic sunrise hike to Grand Ferret.
History was made this year - @courtneydauwalter ran and won her THIRD hundred miler this year (Western States, Hardrock, and UTMB) and @walmsleyruns becomes the first male American to win UTMB! Phew.
Time to process all of this now. Thank you @hoka to this incredible experience. We are just getting started.

Proud of you always, @c0lewats0n .
Last night, Cole told me he didn't feel ready. But this morning, he woke up, put on his speedy clothes, and left for the startline of OCC. I feel like as runners, a lot of us can relate to the pre-race plan - going to bed at a certain time, eating the same breakfast that works for you, clothes laid out the night before... but sometimes obstacles come up that force us to be flexible, and we have to ask ourselves, 'How am I going to assess this?'
Cole ran an incredible race today that I was able to witness and somehow diddle daddle my way to missing his finish, and I'm so proud of him. Even when the pre-race schedule wasn't copied and pasted, he was able to adapt and fly today.
I wasn't sure how he would finish after seeing a rough CW at Col de Balme, but @lauriethornley told me, 'maybe he'll come back!'... and he totally did. 22nd place to a 14th place overall and a 30-minute PR. Congrats, honey. π
