To say that the women of ultra running have been inspiring and pushing the limits this summer would be an understatement. Rivaling
@courtneydauwalter for the most impressive racing summer in trail running history..
@sarahostaszewski has raced around 1000 miles and close to 200k feet of vert, yeah RACED.. not run, raced, since May. Winning
@cocodona250 and
@ouray100 (CR) back to back. Easily the two most daunting races in the country⦠if you are trying to vomit up your lunch just read the stats on those courses and how far apart they are on the calendar. I did an Elden lap with Sarah 2 days after Cocodona and she smoked me. Apparently she had to be forced to not also run CCC before this weekend. 40 miles of the crooked mile last man standing, Cappis 50k, 50k of high five,
@brokenarrowskyrace 11k,
@transrockiesrunning 6 days, now
@runrabbitrun100 and sheās not done. Catch her at
@saddles100 50 miler in a couple of weeks for a season ender⦠at least, until someone tells her about something else to race the week after. keep an eye on this girl. Very happy for her joining the
@satisfyrunning pro team and honored to be the one here to document her journey. Attention all other running companies⦠pull your heads out of your asses, she still buys her own shoes and she probably raced (and won) more than your whole pro team combined this summer. Beyond her race accomplishments Sarah is the most humble, thoughtful, caring, passionate person youāll ever meet more than halfway into an ultra. She would somehow win more if she didnāt spend all of her time wishing other people luck and talking to friends at aid stations š To her core, much like Courtney, Sarah is a role model and shining example of what makes our sport so special. Thanks for being you
