i’m on my last leg of getting home and all the feels just rushed in. it took a village to get here and I’m not talking about just the few months leading up to it the Olympics, this village has been around for years, i was accredited to go but wasn’t even sure if i was going to actually make the trip till mid June. everything that could’ve gone wrong was going wrong but things seemed to work out at the last minute, so i took that as a sign that this is meant to be. to everyone i met the last few weeks i learned so much from every single one of you. special shoutout to the little crew that naturally formed between @krystelsaneh @jeffcohenphoto @danvernonphoto @coopsrun @alishalovrich @smjdagency we all looked out, supported, and pushed each other. this tokyo experience wouldn’t of been the same if we didn’t gravitate towards each other. hopefully we can have this experience again in paris the last 6 or so years i put my life on hold for what feels like a kids dream. i passed on career opportunities, demoted myself, and didn’t take job offers because i knew there wouldn’t be as much flexibility as i have now with my current work situation. with that being said @asalcocer and everyone at 415 thank you supporting me through this letting me get away with the most ridiculous rto’s and making me stick to my goals when i wanted to give up on photography. to the nike fam thanks for making @zhetrick meet me back when i was first starting out so i can shoot for y’all. never would’ve imagined how shooting NRC sessions was going to lay the ground work that eventually changed my life and put me on this path. @usatf thank you for this once in a lifetime opportunity seriously, the people i’ve met and the friendships I’ve made with most of y’all are everlasting. lastly a lot of people have been asking me what’s next? … continued in comments.

ever since photography took off and became a career I’ve always said i just want to be able to work with friends and just do cool shit. ideas come and go and i fail to execute because of time. once covid hit we all had nothing but time. even tho we were all apart we were able to come together by the thing we all have in common, running. @dinelaofficial and I worked on this magazine named Long Distance which is a collection of stories and photos from around the world, showing what running looks like in their city during covid. a portion of the proceeds will go to @doctorswithoutborders to provide medical aid where’s its needed most. i should’ve just been out there shooting. listen it was rough out there. a lot of people told me not to run this marathon i needed more time to train. do it next year. ya’ll were right. 🥴 but the thing about me is that i don’t like to fail when i set my mind towards something. i wanted to quit so many times today but for my mental health I’m glad i didn’t. shirt came off at one point channeling my inner @hecisdead and started to crawl back @cliiish thanks for pulling me out of the gutter that second half of the marathon i don’t know what the day would’ve been if it wasn’t for you @ted_deluxe thank you for being the first person i saw as i crossed the finish line it meant the world to me that you waited out there. berlin you also lied def felt some hills out there in the 3k and somewhere around 10k 🙄 but thank you for the ass kick today thanks for the the 1 pic inspo @lord_edwin someone tell me where to get a new plantar tho

berlin through the years… tomorrow looks a little different for years i watched some of my closest friends go out and crush this race. i’ve followed elites through that 26.2 mile journey and be inspired not only by there performances but by their journey that gets them to the start line. i haven’t ran a marathon since Chicago 2019. that marathon really fucked me up and i was too scared to get back out there. to the point that i completely stopped running. in the most recent years i’ve been struggling with my mental health and found that movement and running once again puts my mind at ease once I’m done (during is a different story). am i ready for tomorrow? absolutely not. i haven’t ran much since 2019 and just started running again in april. am i still traumatized from chicago? absolutely. i am beyond scared for what i am about to go through tomorrow and honestly wasn’t really sure if i wanted to share this post. i didn’t want to add pressure to myself, but the mood of: let go let god took over i can’t go without saying thanks to @bitbeefy @jules_buena @gjdame and @fitandfullbykayla . have i listened to all your suggestions and coaching? that’s a different story but thanks for making time, getting me to the start line and getting me to run again. that last one honestly that’s the biggest win regardless of what happens tomorrow. ❤️ yes that’s an inhaler on top of my singlet @oldmanrunclub ❤️ #QGTM

first time experiencing trail and it’s was a epic couple of days in the alps. after 2 weeks in Budapest energy and morale was low but being around a new community in running i left inspired and eager to learn more. the trail community is beautiful the energy is honestly nothing that I’ve experienced before. there’s not a lot of times now that i go to an event and come out inspired to try it, ngl i might become a trail boy myself, the snacks options alone on the course got me intrigued! 🤔 @walmsleyruns @courtneydauwalter @doradontexplore @trobrillants @runnersvantage @lorylouves @nas_connie @powerup @ultrablackrunning @camelbak 🙏🏽
