In this week’s blog post we recap the amazing gathering of night photographers who came to our in-person Nightscaper Conference in Kanab, Utah. It was truly a gathering of night-minded people including: 22 Speakers who provided so much inspiration and education on a variety of topics. 20 Sponsors that provided over 35 prizes and incredible hands-on opportunities to try out the latest products to help us reach for the stars. 200 passionate people who shared their “Tales of the Night”, broke bread together, star-partied with each other, and seized every moment - day and night! Huge thank you to all and we look forward to many more Nightscaper Conferences in the future! We also had some ironic fortune happen during the Nightscaper Conference as it coincided with a mandated “power outage” in Kanab for the grid to be worked on. This unique scenario provided a night photographer’s dream come true scenario - shoot Main Street USA with the lights out and the Milky Way rising above the town. We bumped into many people that night - endless smiles and ideas lit up the streets. . Announcing the 2022 NightScaper Conference for April 26-29 in Kanab, Utah. The team at @NationalParksAtNight (NPAN) is now producing this event, having acquired it from Royce Bair (@roycebairphoto ) in January 2022. The NPAN team includes Chris Nicholson, Gabriel Biderman, Lance Keimig, Matt Hill and Tim Cooper (swipe left to see the team). Matt and Gabe attended the 2021 conference and absolutely fell in love with the community and event. Plus, Royce is looking to spend more time with family, so it was a match made in heaven. This year’s event is now 4 days instead of 3. We believe that having more time to spend in sessions and networking will give attendees an even richer experience. Each session will be 1 hour long, to fully explore a topic. There will be four panel discussions to explore important topics to the community. A limited number of in-person early bird tickets are now on sale thru the link in our profile! These are first-come, first served. 100 @ $499. When these are gone, the remaining tickets will sell for $699 each. We are adding elective image review sessions on the second, third and fourth mornings. You will be able to sign up for image reviews with participating speakers, for a reasonable fee. Further information about this will be released to conference registrants. This conference, as mentioned before, will be live and in-person in Kanab. The total number of in-person tickets is limited to 300 so we can all be as safe as Covid protocols can allow. For those of you who cannot travel, we are offering Replay-Only tickets to watch all sessions streaming for 1 year after the conference. There will not be a simulcast livestream. Each session will be recorded and posted for streaming replay for paid registrants, both in-person and for Replays-Only ticket holders. There will also be early bird Replay-Only tickets available on a first-come, first served basis. 150 @ $299 When those sell out, Replay-Only will be available for $349. We have long been aware of the NightScaper Conference and community, and have admired and respected the spirit of everyone involved.
