@usatf has announced the roster for the upcoming World Athletics Road Running Championships in Latvia and it includes three of our very own @hoka NAZ Elite Athletes! After placing seven and eighth respectfully at the USATF Outdoor Championships in the 5,000m, Olin Hacker and Ahmed Muhumed will be representing the US in the 5k. Futsum Zienasellassie will race the half marathon as a final race effort before the TCS New York City Marathon in November. Both races are set to take place on October 1st! @nickhauger12 is the HOKA NAZ Elite September athlete of the month! 🦌 Nick joined HOKA NAZ Elite in 2019 and kicked off his professional career in January of 2020 with a fifth-place finish at the USATF Cross Country Championships–qualifying him for the Pan American Championships. At Pan Ams he was ninth, helping the U.S. team to victory. During his time with the team he has set PBs at 5,000 meters (13:56) and 10,000 meters (28:42) and made successful debuts at the half marathon and marathon distances – highlighted by a third-place finish at the 2021 California International Marathon in 2:12:59. Injuries derailed much of his 2022 and 2023 seasons but he is healthy once again and will race for the first time in nearly a full year this month at the Boulevard Four-Miler in his hometown of Spokane, Washington.
