2 weeks post op - Stitches out today! First week home recovering - It's been exhausting, sleepless nights and constant crying, but we got there! Taking it day by day, seeing him stronger each day is keeping us going! He's having major tantrums at his super short walks, so we know our old cheeky boy is still in there! Won't be long chubby, until you're running around off lead chasing your furry friends in the park!
Today you came home, but a long journey is still ahead of us. We've got 12 weeks of recovery to go, but we promise to get you through it and make you as comfortable and happy along the way. We are so proud of you Moon Bagheera, even when you were in excruciating pain with no way out, you just licked our faces to comfort us whilst the tears flowed. The nurses fell in love with you during your stay in the hospital, but that was no surprise, because you are just such a delight to have around. Hey everyone!!!! Sorry we have been so quiet on here as of late. We have been exploring all possibilities to raise funds for Moons operation, it's been an exhausting couple of months. Pushing his story all over social media, getting in contact with local businesses and news companies, putting posters up all over Brighton, organising a huge fundraiser in our local park. It's been emotional, to say the least. But, we can tell you, with lumps in our throats, that we have raised £6585!!!!! We are slightly under our target goal, but we will finance with the vet the remaining amount. We cannot tell you how the kindness of you all has not only saved our beautiful boy, but transformed our entire outlook on life. I was so sceptical setting up the GoFundMe page as we thought only our dearest friends and family would donate and as amazingly kind as that is, it wouldn't be enough to save Moon. But strangers, from all over the world, have donated to Moons cause. Some of you have donated huge sums of money, but whether you have donated £300 or £5, we are indebted to you more than we can ever repay, or show our appreciation enough. Moon goes in for his surgery at 10am tomorrow, we are terrified. The hardest part will be being away from him for an entire week whilst he recovers enough in the doggy hospital ready for him to come home. The overall recovery will be tough - 12 weeks, a lot of which restricted to a crate. He is going to cry, bark and whine the entire time I'm sure, but we will get through it. Training has gone out the window the last couple of months whilst he recovered from his first op, but I told him to just enjoy it, because it will be back to a strict routine when you have recovered my boy, for you have many years left on this earth now. You have saved our boy everyone and we love you all for it. Thank you ❤️

Hey everyone!! Sorry we have been quiet on here the last couple of days! We have been super busy! The fundraising has been doing well but we really need another push! So we have put together a little get together in our local park. We will have plenty of food, cold drinks, cake, games for the kids and dogs, but most impressively, an incredible raffle with the most amazing prizes donated from our local community. We have been overwhelmed with people's donations! If you are in the Brighton & Hove area, it would be great to see you all at our little fundraiser for Moon 😊 It will be held in Adelaide Park, Hove, BN3 2JE. Saturday 11th 1pm. We are doing all that we can to raise funds for our beautiful pup.
