They say don’t meet your heroes. I met mine and it was a dream come true. This moment was real deep for me. I remember when I watched ‘Let me explain’ where he sold out MSG and got to the end and started crying because he was so appreciative of his fans and his journey to that point and I started crying along with him haha. That’s the first time I understood the exchange of how much of an impact artists have on us and how much of an impact we have on them. From that day I knew I wanted to make people experience my art and feel something. That’s when I made the decision to go and chase my dreams. I’ve dreamt of this day over and over again when I’d be able to meet my hero and tell him he changed my life and I couldn’t have imagined that the respect for my art would’ve been close to mutual. The fact bro knew who I was was deep enough. I’d always said when I meet Kevin I’ve done what I needed to do. But from everything we spoke about, now more than ever I’m so fuelled to go 1000x harder. Ngl 2022 was a spiritual movie. Travelled more in one year than I have my whole life which is a madness when you deep it. Touched and worked with an animal for the first time aswell. The LFF Gala premiere for ‘Empire Of Light’ was incredible. So glad I got to experience this at home with some of my family and close friends in attendance. After the movie I saw my mum and the first thing she said is, she’s so proud… I realised that’s all I wanna do as I progress in my career, just keep making mama proud 🙏🏾❤️
FINALLY HOME 🇯🇲 Exactly 20 years ago I left my home and now I was able to reconnect with the island that made me and trust me it’s something I’ve wanted to do for timeeeeeee, so I’m glad I’ve been actually done it. No one will understand how much this journey meant to me I don’t even think I do but it’s the biggest blessing for my soul and how I manoeuvre going forward with my life. Had family that I’ve only seen pictures of and spoke to on video call over the years all come and meet me at the airport which was a special moment for me. Nuff more images coming from the whole trip. Jamaica has my whole heart and soul 🇯🇲❤️ #DatIsIt

To see what can happen when you just genuinely want to give was special to me. #MemphisDepayfoundation looks after def and blind children it just makes you deep how lucky and blessed to be in the position we’re in so the least we can do is help those that can’t help themselves. Deaf children came up to me and was showing me how they knew about TopBoy and that moment amongst many others I’ll never forget 🙏🏾❤️
