Nothing prepares you for moments like this. I spent many weeks with these docile, curious giants but on this particular occasion, these three humpback whales swam directly at me and dove deep into the abyss below. Suddenly they turned and spiraled back towards the surface, surrounding me like whirling dervishes performing an elegant dance. I was speechless as they surrounded me, unable to take any pictures but as they swam away, I was able to capture a few frames. This picture doesn't do the experience any justice but for me, it's still a great reminder of one of the most memorable ocean experiences I've ever had. @zbyhp #whales #ocean
