😱Will you try ants eggs? @azulrestaurantes is the place to try them out! The place elegantly sits in a 17th century courtyard and offers @chefzurita known elevated Mexican dishes. I loved all kinds of handmade tortillas either with various colors or paintings. Ofc, the ants eggs are the highlight. They don’t have strong flavors and the texture is like egg whites. I did like them 😜 If you are planning to visit CDMX, @azulrestaurantes is a great spot for a date night ❤️
The most unique dining experience in CDMX might be @exp_maiz ! Why? 🌽 They don’t have a menu, and the server will surprise you with dishes made with fresh ingredients they get today from local farms. You never know what the next course is! They will ask if you are full, or should they send out the next course. 🌽 The line is always crazy! I even went before they opened, and there were already people waiting on a weekday! Also, they only offer communal tables so it is fun to chat with other diners! 🌽 Tips: if you go in as a group of 2, they will offer different dishes to each person so you can share and experience more food! Not only is the place extremely gorgeous and elegant, but the food is delicious and beautifully presented. Must order: 🍴Swiss Enchiladas: it was invented here in 1950s. It’s well-balanced with the tart tomatillo sauce and rich cheese. 🍴 Sanborn-Styled Eggs: Ranchero sauce is tangy, sweet, spicy, and savory.
