Mile 5 when I still felt poppy - that disappeared around mile 18 4. Somewhere in the middle? still trying to be patient 🙏🏻 5. Mile 22 where I could feel Jenna losing her shit and LOVED IT 6. Turns are hard 😭😂 0.2 to go 7. Proud of these leggies 8. @grandmasmarathon post-race press conference in which I hope I made any kindof sense 🫣🤷‍♀️ 9. Conquering Uncharted Territory; Breaking the Tape in her Debut Marathon! @haagendazs_86 Meet Lauren Hagans, the 2024 Grandma’s Marathon Champion, who made a sensational marathon debut, scorching 🔥a 2:25:55, running the fourth-fastest U.S debut of all time! Though Lauren has coached many marathoners, and is surrounded by strong, @naz_elite rockstar marathoning teammates who shared helpful nuggets, this was truly uncharted territory. “You never get to a starting line by yourself! Little pieces of magic were shared with me at moments of doubt along the way to my first marathon. They helped me develop trust.” We discussed: Her build-Lauren was concerned about pushing her mileage too high due to past injuries, and her Coaches built her a plan that played to her strengths. Wow I forgot how hard getting in shape at altitude is!! Feeling very very unfit rn but I needed some physical mental and emotional downtime (life amirite) before going into what is hopefully a big fall season of racing! Looking forward to getting my butt kicked by my teammates and Flag community until I’m fit enough to BE the buttkicker 😂😂 soon I hope!!
