When Mercy, a 21-year-old woman from Chongwe, Zambia, learned about her HIV-positive status as an adolescent, she struggled with her mental health and feelings of isolation. This changed when volunteers at Mercy’s local health facility invited her to join Grassroot Soccer’s SKILLZ Plus program for youth living with HIV. With a safe and open environment and mentorship from her SKILLZ Coach, "I felt like I was reborn," Mercy says. Read her story at the link in our bio.
