Fungi or 🧟?
For the past year,
@Garden_and_cosmos has photographed the subtropical rainforests on the east coast of Australia. It’s been a year unlike any other with unprecedented rain and moisture helping these unique fungi come to life.
“It’s difficult to carry heavy camera equipment in wet rainforests so my #Pixel camera became an excellent tool in documenting my forest discoveries. My Pixel could also document location, date and time, etc. which saved me writing field notes for future reference. Normally, I would have brought guides, maps, notes, and much more. Now all this can be done with my phone.”
🔎 For this particular discovery, she used the zoom lens to pick up as much detail as possible. In the foreground is Orange Fan (Anthracophyllum archeri), and pictured in the background is Golden Curtain Crust (Stereum ostrea). “I was lucky to find them fruiting together. The similarity of their color and shape created a unified structure and depth of perspective for a vibrant photo.”
