Jacques-Louis David works were everything for me; a true testament to the power of storytelling through images. His pieces capture the essence of history with such precision that they almost feel alive. Im humbled and inspired by this experience. Even though the Mona Lisa is a fan favorite, mine is “The Death of Marat”. This piece moved my core.
Walk with me as I take you thru the ceilings of centuries. Some days im OK. Some days im not. Thats life! But there’s something truly magical about standing before a masterpiece in the Paris Louvre. The way the colors dance together, the brushstrokes so carefully placed, you can feel the artist’s soul in every room. It’s an experience that will stay with me forever, reminding me why art has the power to inspire, move and heal us like nothing else can. So create! Jean-Michel Basquiat's art speaks to my soul in a way that few others can. His raw and powerful expressions of emotion remind me of the beauty and complexity that exists within us all. I almost dropped a tear seeing this yesterday, what others saw as beauty, I saw as pure pain. This exhibit gave me a headache, I could smell cigarettes and paint….I felt overwhelmed. I felt a brain over worked and over processed. His ability to crank out work was Insatiable. I am grateful for the impact he has had on the art world and on my own personal journey of self-discovery. I left feeling like I am not doing enough. Alot of who I thought I was, I am not. That is all for now. Thank you JMB. And Thank you to the special person who told me about this exhibit. ❤️ -KNOXX
Its so fulfilling when you design a collection at any level of fashion. I'm so humbled seeing my designs on ppl like Kodak and Choppa. Since THE HYPE I’ve been working behind the scenes at another brand that wasn’t DVMN. These last 8-9 months have taught me so much. Forever grateful to be working inside a industry I truly love. How beautiful it is when you stay silent and poised when someone expects you to be enraged. In this industry you will encounter many forms of manipulation and dishonesty.
