The 2023 season comes to a close. After traveling to Qatar, Morocco, Italy, Norway, Switzerland(x2), Hungary, Belgium and Oregon, I can confidently say I am ready to rest 😴 This season has been beautiful and memorable and undoubtedly my best. While the consistency in my racing earned me a lot of opportunities, some specific expectations were a bit higher. I had hoped to cap off the year with a shiny PB but came up short. I had trained to win my first US title and believed it was possible but came up short. Instead, I was consistent. I grew in ways that will pay off over time and feel deeply happy with my efforts and execution of my biggest goals- representing Team USA on the global stage and being competitive at the highest level. A couple 10th place finishes don’t feel too bad in the grand scheme of things. 🤍 Thank you to my team, coaches, friends, family and @pjsullivan9 for all you do to help me along the way. 🤍 "We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. Ready for one more go-around! Returning to Eugene today for my final race of the 2023 season. Wow, what a year it has been. So many races, so much travel, and lots of happy moments. After what felt like a let down in Brussels, I’m really happy to refocus and have another race to test myself before wrapping up the season. Feeling really satisfied with the body of work which earned me a place in the Diamond League Final! First time having this race in the USA so extra proud to be an 🇺🇸 representative among such a strong field. I love racing at Hayward and will be ready to give it my all! 📸: @danvernonphoto

10th fastest woman in the 1500m in the world 🌎 Second year in a row. To feel anything less than grateful would be a massive oversight in how truly challenging this endeavor is. I have worked harder than ever this year and I am so proud of the series of races my team and I put together to be in the world championship final yesterday. Two races at USAs which require perfect execution and two rounds here in Budapest where there is zero room for error lead to a championship final. I say that to remind myself- I did a good job! Although I do not feel I showed my best self yesterday, I catch myself every time I feel disappointed in my performance. It’s a complicated mixture of emotions; I am deeply grateful and proud of my work and have such a gratifying sense of responsibility to represent the USA. I feel I did so to the best of my ability. Along with that, as anyone who has ever set a goal and worked towards it knows, coming up even the slightest bit short takes time to digest. I think I made some errors mid-race which will haunt me for a short time and I’ll learn from in the future. More than anything, I am thankful to have more indication the voice in my head which has always told me to keep going was right. I feel I am exactly where I am meant to be and never take that for granted 🤍 None of this would be possible without @pjsullivan9 my team @__teamboss__ my coaches Joe and Nick, my parents, my sisters and my amazing friends.
