today we reached 1 million people in this amazing community! I’m so grateful to have you here, thank you for supporting me on my journey, this whole thing feels like a dreammmm I wanted to share with you some behind the scenes from when I started, 3 years ago. I was so embarrassed to show myself back then, from my tiny balcony, to my college kitchen, which was so small I could only film on my doorstep. But I had the best helper, the OG taste tester, my landlord’s pup. I remember getting questions on the equipment I’m using and I thought to myself “who would take me seriously if they knew I’m using a plastic chair with a hole in it as my tripod, a thrifted $2 marble platter as my background, or a 50 cent thrifted umbrella as a light diffuser?!”. Turns out you don’t need the most expensive equipment to pursue what you love, you just need a supportive community that appreciates what you put into the world. I’m so grateful to be able to do what I love, getting my kitchen messy every single day, and sharing good food with you. You’d think seeing people making your recipes would get old after a few years, but oh my goodness, it doesn’t, it gets better every day. It makes my day every time you share your creations with me, it’s just so humbling and heartwarming I can’t even put it into words. I wish I could personally thank each and everyone of you! Thank you for being here, thank you for your support and love on my journey, from starting my blog, to immigrating to the U.S. (if you’re curious, over a year and half later, I’m still waiting on my green card)!
