At the top of the trail is the glacier melt pool. I was staring at the ice cold water when a fellow hiker jokingly asked if I was ready to jump into the glacier water. I don't think he expected me to say yes (because that is exactly what I was thinking when he came up to me)...he had to come with me into the water. And a new friendship was born. I have been practicing ice plunges mainly at home in my bath. And this is the coldest plunge I've done and gave me the most exhilarating rush after. This weekend @mohith_bv and I completed the infamous enchantments through hike in one day straight. This was the hardest hike I've done yet and we walked, climbed, scrambled and rolled and jumped over 35 kilometers of brutal terrain for 13 hours straight. The last 3 hours was complete darkness and thank god we were prepared. I hope my legs forgive me for all the abuse I've put them through and for all the more that's yet to come! The photos do not do any justice but I leave you with a few of them. Enchantments I'll be back and I love you. Kudos to @mohith_bv who said to me few days before the hike, "hey, want to do enchantments in one day?" And kudos to me too for I replied with a,"yes". Starting time 8AM, finishing time 11:30PM. Total moving time 13 hours. Total walking distance 34.1 kms. Total calories - 6700 :) Once in the middle, we took a nice dip in the ice cold waters of isolation lake to rejuvenate our sore muscles and we were on our way again.
