A photo of me that @diopcorinne took during one of my talks at James Madison University w/ @jmu_sadah on Monday 3/27. This talk was about conveying culture and identity. Before showing my more recent work from Korea, I felt it was necessary to give some context to my photographic journey and share some examples of my early works. The following are some of my favorite photographs I made as a student. For me, it's interesting to see these now because I can kinda tell where certain things started, such as formalism concerns or when I fell in love with the drag shutter technique.  For the photo nerds out there, all these photos were made with an Olympus OM-1 with a 24mm Zukio and a flash unit, all of which used to be my father's who gifted them to me when I was in high school. So the incredible news continues! I learned this afternoon that the Paris International Street Photo Awards has named me Street Photographer of the Year 2022! What an unbelievable way to end the year. This summer, I spent unknown hours pouring and pouring over different ways I could express "Fare Adjustment."
