But when the clouds break in Squamish, Alannah and Jordan know it’s time to make a dash for their projects. Choosing The Monastery for its classic lines and powerful overhangs (aka rain shields), they make the best of iffy conditions. Plus, all good things come to those who wait — they get the crag to themselves. Time to try hard. #arcteryx

We believe that the mountains are more than just geography — they’re where we play, grow, and connect with ourselves, each other, and the world around us. We also believe that everyone should feel welcome.
Starting this June, we’re launching a new feature series highlighting our incredible community partners who believe the same and are deep in the work of making access to the outdoors more equitable.
To kick off the series, In honour of Pride Month, we’ll be highlighting Stonewall Climbing DC (@stonewallclimb ), an organization creating a more inclusive climbing community in their hometown.
Happy Pride Month! 🌈

Arc’teryx athlete and emergency room nurse Lucy Sackbauer (@lucysack ), along with Nicole Jorgenson (@_nicolejorgenson ) a ski patroller and first responder, have both spent countless early mornings watching the sun shed its first light on the peaks directly across from the historical Sun Valley Ski Resort. This spring, a dream became a plan as they both set out to ski six of the spectacular ski lines outlined in ‘The Sun Valley Ski Guide’.
“For both the early explorers as well as for us, the mountains provide a sense of place, a way of orienting oneself in the vast world at large. They serve as a medium through which to find direction, inspiration, strength, and passion.” – Nicole
