While a 60 mm scope and cell phone can produce interesting images, the high-resolution photos allow us to observe and capture the true essence of the moon 📸⠀

Initially formed about 3.6 billion years ago, Gassendi is a prime example of an impact crater. Spectroscopic analysis of the crater revealed solidified volcanic material in the southern portion (left) of Gassendi's floor. The smaller crater immediately to the right is Gassendi A, and the one beyond that is Gassendi B. North is to the right.â €
