A classic that I’ll never get tired of 🤤
ingredients
1/2 cup of sake
1/2 cup mirin
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
TK sesame seeds (optional)
Combine the sake, mirin, soy sauce and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat.
Cook it down for 10 to 15 minutes.
While you wait, make a slurry by combining water and cornstarch in a small ramekin.
Add the slurry to the sauce and cook it on a simmer for about 5 minutes until it thickens to a glossy glaze and coats the back of a spoon.
Let completely cool for 30 minutes. Add sesame seeds (optional) and serve with your favorite protein or veggies.
