When Mercy, a 21-year-old woman from Chongwe, Zambia, learned about her HIV-positive status as an adolescent, she struggled with her mental health and feelings of isolation. This changed when volunteers at Mercy’s local health facility invited her to join Grassroot Soccer’s SKILLZ Plus program for youth living with HIV.
