The chunkier the better When I designing my home I KNEW I wanted large columns (the chunkier the better πŸ˜‰). My house was going to be very white and I needed something to break it up and provide warmth. When looking at the cost (and size) of what we wanted, we knew wrapping the columns would be the best bet. Although we had a little hiccup during framing (they should’ve been 12” and ended up 13”— hence the two boards per side), I loved the final product and would do it all over again. Tell me what you think in the comments and save for later use πŸ˜‰ #cedarbeams #cedar #cedarcolumns #modernfarmhouse #farmhousestyle #farmhousedesign

They look great! What stain did you use?
What stain did you use? I just had 3 cedar columns put up and staining is up to me!
We found a local saw mill to purchase cypress beams. This was cheaper then treated and wrapped!
Beautiful! πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Great idea!
😍
Great idea! 😍
After staining them did you also seal with a particular product?
So did you just take the cedar board and put over existing columns?
Wrap them with an inferior wood and you will be back at square one..lol
