Diggin' In Restless' Crates #273 (Melissa's Pick) Dame Shirley Veronica Bassey DBE, born 8 January 1937, is a Welsh singer. Best known for her career longevity, powerful voice and recording the theme songs to three James Bond films, Bassey is widely regarded as one of the most popular vocalists in Britain. Born in Cardiff, Bassey began performing as a teenager in 1953. In 1959, she became the first Welsh person to gain a number-one single on the UK Singles Chart. Bassey received the first award for Best British Female Solo Artist at the 1st Brit Awards in 1977. "And I Love You So" is a 1972 album by Shirley Bassey. Released late in 1972 to positive reviews, this was Bassey's fourth album of the decade and was one of the albums which comprised her 'comeback' period of the 1970s. Unlike the earlier albums, this didn't feature any hit singles and consequently didn't fare as well as the previous three. The original release was in stereo on vinyl and cassette. This album was re-issued on CD in 2000 with two bonus tracks: "If I Should Love Again" (previously only released as a B-side to "The Ballad of the Sad Young Men") and "Let Me Be the One", which was unreleased until 1994. The album was re-released again in a double pack with previous album I Capricorn in November 2010. Tracklist: A1 "Someday" A2 "Bless The Beasts And Children" A3 "Jezahel" A4 "And I Love You So" A5 "The Way Of Love" A6 "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" B1 "Day By Day" B2 "Without You" B3 "Ballad Of The Sad Young Men" B4 "I Don't Know How To Love Him" B5 "I'd Do It All Again" B6 "If We Only Have Love" Spotify (Remasterd): https://open.spotify.com/album/2CXieZobIvrKpQFPpiRJs3 Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/release/2138729-Shirley-Bassey-And-I-Love-You-So
