“The philosophy of the man who created the ‘Indian School’ concept, Richard H. Pratt, his famous line was, ‘Kill the Indian. Save the man.’ So that's what they did that at those schools. They killed the Indian. These schools were profit centers for the Catholic church and the Lutherans. They took the funds from the federal government that were intended for Indian education and used them for themselves.”
